Sparkweb URL

I have just upgrade from Openfire Enterprise 3.31 to 3.45, we used to use the following URL to connect to the Spark Web Client http://myserver.mydomain.com:8080/sparkweb now the conferences button does not work. However I have read that you can use this URL http://myserver.mydomain.com:9090/plugins/enterprise/sparkweb/index.jspa . This works fine. What is the offical line on how the web client should be used. Is there any documentation about when this change happened. Please could someone point me in the correct direction. Is the old method now redundant.

Thanks

Hey Carl,

The location of the sparkweb client has changed in the latest version, the address http://my.server.com:8080/sparkweb is no longer considered valid. In order to use spark web you’d either need to visit http://my.server.com:9090/plugins/enterprise/sparkweb/index.jspa, or you have the option to deploy sparkweb on an external server.

I’ve been looking for documentation on how to deploy sparkweb to an external server, specifically using SSH port 443, but I cant find anything on it so far. Can anyone point me to the documentation for this please?

Hello,

On my experience to install sparkweb, while we have openfire running on your system it’s very simple!

Download SparkWeb from this URL: http://www.igniterealtime.org/projects/sparkweb/index.jsp

Unzip and upload sparkweb folder to your home directory website (Linux: /var/home/html/ or Windows: c:/Inetpub/www/)

Modify file SparkWeb.html to index.html (usealy your server running with index pages service)

Point your browser to: http://server_name/sparkweb/ or http://server_IP/sparkweb/

Today, i still searching some references for SparkWeb plugin to enable voice + video conference also Smack & Red5.

Any one can inform where’s the url which i can download the Sparkweb plugin & Red5 plugin?

Regards,

Oki Bayu.
