SSL Tunnelling

I have implemented a SocketFactory that is able to tunnel through a web proxy (SSL and HTTP). I would like to contribute this implementation to Smack. What’'s the best way to do this?

Hi rajeshd,

The best way to contribute would be to contact either url=http://www.jivesoftware.org/forums/profile.jspa?userID=1964Gato or url=http://www.jivesoftware.org/forums/profile.jspa?userID=3Matt via email or private message and tell them what you’‘ve done. They’‘re both extremely receptive to contributions from the community and I’'m sure they would like to see your work.

Hope that helps,

Has anyone looked into this, it seems like it would be a commonly-used feature that would benefit users of the API…

I have submitted my code to the dev team. I am not sure if it was not deemed to be useful or that it was not upto the mark.

If anyone else wants it, just email me at rajesh.dhawan@gmail.com and I will be more than glad to send out what I have to you.

I apologize if no action was taken on code you submitted. I did a search of my email but didn’'t find your name. Would you be willing to re-submit the patch so that we can look at including it in the next release?
