Starting Openfire services using non-root credentials?

Hi Everyone,

One of my team is facing the issue of starting the openfire chat (3.8.1) services using non-root credentials on a linux box, if you can help in sharing some knowledge if this can be run using non-root account.

You can’t run the init.d script as non-root user, you have to either modify that script, or use the bin/openfirectl or bin/openfire.sh script.
