Startup guide

Hi,

i would like to take a look at the sources and develop a plugin. Is there a startup guide for building the source and plugins.

Which IDE are you using or recommend for Wildfire (Eclipse, Netbeans, Sun)?

Hi Alex,

There are two things you can look at to get started:

The Developer section in the url=http://www.jivesoftware.org/builds/wildfire/docs/latest/documentation/WildFire Documentation[/url] page.
“Building Messenger with Ant or Eclipse” and “Building plugins in Jive Messenger” url=http://www.jivesoftware.org/community/kbcategory.jspa?categoryID=17kb[/url] documents.

I use Eclipse, but I believe most of the developers at Jive use IntelliJ

Alex,

Definitely check out the plugin developer guide as a first step. We use Intellij IDEA here at Jive Software, but any of the major IDE’'s should work great. Let us know if you run into any issues!
