I’‘ve started instrumenting Pampero with JMX and have touched XPPPacketReader. I’'ve compiled some statistics (see screenshot) and would like to share.
The max/min/mean are all in ms. It takes on average 961 ms to parse one document. These are all uniform documents that are being generated from XMPP Stress Tool from Coversant. The load generator had 20 clients sending a message every 1000ms.
Please take this result with a grain of salt as the process needs to be evaluated by all. I’'m currently waiting to check in the XPPacketReader in the whack project since it should be in Messenger any more.
