'@' symbol in ldap uid

Anyone know a patch/workaround for intregration with LDAP, where the uid’s contain an ‘@’ sign?

are you using Active Directory ?

if so, I can send you a patch (still ditry hack, not yet commited), Active Directory ldap allows bind operation using user@domain syntax, so DN and special characters do not matter anymore.

Unfortunately, I’m hitting an OpenLDAP backend. I don’t know if your patch is specific only to Active Directory, but I wouldn’t mind taking a look at it so that I might get an idea on how to implement it for OpenLDAP.
