I want to use wildfire as a message server where I work, but there are some users who only need to be able to chat in a groupchat type chat room and my boss dosnt want them to be able to talk privately. Does anyone have any ideas about how to do this.

you could create a Wildfire plugin similar to the Content Filter to disable normal p2p chats and p2p chats within MUC.

Do you know where I can find documentation about how to do this. I was hoping I could just create a preference if i knew the right string to disable. I am really new to wildfire.

a guide of all settings one can do using the existing admin JSP pages is as far as I know still missing.
The wiki contains a lot of system properties one can set … the more or less hidden features.
