Unable to generate CSR

A new install of Openfire 3.6.3 wasn’t accepting my CA reply to the CSR generated during install. I deleted the pending certificates to start over.

In “Server Certificates” under “Signing request”:

The issuer information for the certificates should be updated before sending the Certificate Signing Request (CSR) to a Certificate Authority (CA). Click here to update the issuer information.

On “Issuer Information”, I fill it out and click “Update information” This keeps me on the same page. I go back to “Server Certificates” and “Signing request” says the same thing about updating issuer information.

Should I sumit a bug report about this, or am I doing something wrong?

I got it to generate a CSR. What I had to do was use the domain address as the name for the issuer information. Using my name or my company’s name caused this issue.

However, now when I paste my CA’s reply, I get the error “An error occured while importing the Certificate Authority reply. Verify that the reply is correct and that it belongs to the correct certificate.”

Needed to import the GoDaddy CA into the truststore.
