Hello,
Openfire 3.4.1 on WinXP Pro with LDAP to a MS AD Domain
Spark 2.5.8 beta 1on WinXP Pro
Java JRE 1.6.0.30 (Java 6 Update 3)
I have the following in my Output.log file:
** authentication failed unable to obtain Princpal Name for authentication**
Spark won’t start. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks much,
Mark
Are you attempting to to do SSO?
Hi Todd,
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I was using SSO.
Mark
I assume that you have done all the steps like creating a krb5.ini, create a keytab, gss.conf, etc?
Hi Todd,
That’s the problem with being a newbie…
I assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that SSO would simply use my domain credentials to authenticate and it was an option for LDAP enabled setups. So, I really don’t know where the krb5.ini, keytab or gss.conf would be located or how to use them.
I did go into my spark.properties and changed the value for the SSO setting from “true” to “false” and spark started right up.
Can you point me to where I can get an education on SSO?
Much thanks,
Mark

OK,
I got it.
I copy the spark.properties from another PC.
My Spark is recovery, anyway.
Thanks.
