Unable to send pm between logged in users

Hi,

i have recently setup openfire on my centos 5.4 local system, and i have created users on it, my users are able to login into openfire using pidgin through xmpps, when i add another user as a budy it still doesn’t show the buddy online, however when we check in the openfire admin that particular id is logged in and available, moreover when we click on that offline buddy and try to send a msg to him t doesn’t work.

Do you see an error in Pidgin when you try to send the message?

Hello,

When you try to add buddies or message them, are you using their Jabber ID in the form of username@domain ? Just using username will not work…
