Upgrading Openfire 3.8.0 to Openfire 3.8.2 how?

Elow guys, im actually using openfire 3.8.0 currently running in Ubuntu 10.04 and realy like to upgrade it to Openfire 3.8.2, and i keep googling and never find a instruction on how to do it, Hope you guys could help me…Many thanks in advance

There are no instructions as it is pretty straightforward. What version do you use? Deb? Then update Openfire the same way you do with other deb based software. It is important to make a backup of your installation, database (if using embedded one), certificates (if using SSL). On my linux box i have Openfire in /opt dir, on Ubuntu it can be in /var/lib/openfire.

I have found that installation and upgrade for deb is done with:

dpkg -i package
