I was just wondering if it’s possible for a regular user to change the “description” field of a muc room (not the subject) via XMPP.
No, it shouldn’t be possible. Only the owners of a room (or a server admin) should have the permission to change the description by (re-)configuring the room. Why, do you found a bug (maybe its part of OF-122)?
Think so. I just experienced that the description changed from “Test” to “bochkov” a few seconds after I have created the room. However the Audit Viewer tells me, it was me entering “bochkov” while creating the room.
Edit: Don’t trust me. I slept only a few hours last night. Maybe it’s a PEBKAC and the logs are right.
