User conflicts on chat rooms

Hi,

I have created a chat room on my Openfire server and it usually has about 50 participants. Many users have told me that they are thrown out from the chat room due to conflicts with another users. I have tried to reproduce that situation but I couldn’t. I have no idea about what could be the reason of that conflicts, neither the solution. Has anybody any idea?

Hi Enrique,

maybe it has something to do with name changes. In a MUC you can change your name for example to “Foobar”. So when “Foobar@youhost” tries to enter this MUC it will get a naming conflict and may need to use “Foobar2” within the room - but such a conflict shouldn’t kick a user.
