User Name has Dollar Sign

I’m using LDAP to create my Groups.

One of the username is showing with a dollar sign ($) after the name.

Here’s an example. name$@openfire

It’s throwing an error that the name doesn’t exist in LDAP.

On the user page, the name is listed there just fine.

Hi,

it looks like you did hit a similar problem like JM-1381. Please post the exception, this should make it more easy to identify the failing method.

Someone had an openfire.jar patch posted on the forums somewhere for version 3.6.4.

I downloaded it, replaced the file, restarted Openfire, and now it works just fine.

do you still know which patch? I’m not sure that it is already fixed in 3.7.0-beta.
