Users not receiving broadcast messages

Hello,

I’ve got a couple members of staff who are unable to receive broadcast messages that are sent to the group they are in. They receive the message box that the broadcast should be in but no text. The same applies when one-to-one messages are sent.

I have determined that they are using the updated version of Spark that we have on the rest of the machines on site. I am wondering if a simple reinstallation will solve the problem or if there is an underlying problem?

Simple reinstall probably won’t help. You can try wiping their profile and starting with a fresh profile (if you don’t care for lost history and settings)

profile path:

C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Spark

or

C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Spark

or

$HOME/.Spark

I checked these locations and there was none of these folders.

Then probably you are not using the latest version. Then check one folder higher:

C:\Documents and Settings\User\Spark

or

C:\Users\User\Spark

Older versions of Spark are known to have such problems more often than the new versions.
