I’m not sure if this is at all possible, but I figured I’d ask anyway. The organization I work for is implementing OpenFire with Spark as a proof of concept for company communications. It’s working very well so far, but one thing that has come up is editable profiles. I’m not really sure that we really want to allow it, but when editing profiles, the user will get a vCard error. I’ve made the configuration change to allow avatar changes, and they seem to work properly. Is there any way to have OpenFire use LDAP for authentication and for initial account creation, but also allow users to make edits to their profile information?
