UTF8 encoding problem with Contact History ( spark 1.1)

Hi,

I have UTF8 encoding problem with Contact History ( spark 1.1)

After closing session I can’'t read chat history (format is unreadable).

Any suggestions how to recover history file?

Hi Vitaliy,

do you have this problem really after closing Spark or after starting Spark? If I backup the file after closing Spark I can use the Internet Explorer to read the backup. Starting Spark and reading+writing the log once again destroys it for me.

The problem is permanent.

I was trying to use encoding detecting applications (e.g. Firefox and IE)

and was trying to use double decoding with iconv (linux util that converts files from one encoding to another) without results. I can’'t understand what sequence of encodings was applied to chat log.

I wonder will the spark team give a tool that allows to bring the log back

or at least will they give some advice how to give it back with utils like iconv.

Hi,

Another problem with history appeared.

When history file grew up to 30 MB (it happens after bug with encoding described about appears)

and spark fails to open chat histroy.

I wonder, do spark programmers know about this problem and is there any work around?
