What is difference between“Free to chat” and “Online”in User Status.
Not exactly a Spark question, but more of the Jabber and the whole IM world. It’s more a tradition to have this childish “free to chat” status, which is almost the same as Online. Well, maybe Online just means that a person is at a PC, but maybe is doing something else (well, then he would set DND if he doesnt wish to be disturbed or just logoff). Free to Chat would mean that you can freely contact that person as he is not doing anything and won’t mind to chat with you.
Maybe you were asking about some technical differences, though I dont think there is something significant here. I use Online, Away (Idle) and DND only.
