What is the purpose of jiveID Table?

i want to know what is the purpose of jiveID table in jiveMessanger.

please help me !

The jiveID table tracks unique ID’‘s for objects in the system. We use it because we support databases that don’‘t have sequence support. There’'s a lot more info in the forums if you do a quick search. For example:
