Wildfire Does not handle Nagios checktcp

I have a issue. My Nagios host checks my Jabber server’'s ports to see if they are alive. However my jabber server leaves the ports in close_wait. I run on a centos 4.2 server. Is this a protocol problem? It appears it would be easy to cause a DoS. This just started after I upgraded my wildfire from 2.4.4 to 2.5

This may be an issue already fixed: JM-573. It’‘s at least related. Do you know of a way for us to replicate the issue you’‘re seeing locally so that we can see if it’'s fixed?

Welcome Todd,

it is easy to DoS Wifi, actually you should see that its memory usage increases with every check about some bytes. So you’'ll likely get an OutOfMemory error after some thousands checks. It was discussed here: http://www.jivesoftware.org/community/thread.jspa?messageID=114034
