Wildfire should now work great on FreeBSD! The official version of Java 5 for the OS is now available at:
http://www.freebsdfoundation.org/downloads/java.shtml

ssssexy. what a difference from having to compile from source… 1.7G work area was required to complete… not anymore! not to mention the time it took to compile.
Note: had to delete .install4j in my ~ first. Pay attention to instructions during installation/execution
installation notes:
pkg_add -r xorg-libraries
pkg_add -r javavmwrapper
pkg_add diablo-jre-freebsd6-1.5.0.06.00.tbz
