Is there a DTD or some form of documentation dictating the available parameters you can set in a wildfire.xml file? In a similar vein, is there any kind of documentation for the meaning/usage of all of the configurable server properties?

Thanks LG - the server props listing is definitely useful.

Regarding the other half of my question - the next best thing to having full documentation on the wildfire/openfire.xml file would be how, if at all, to configure audit logging in that file.

Hi,

for the audit feature you have the http://server:9090/audit-policy.jsp page, so no need to set these properties manually. But one should avoid to set a larger file size than 2 GB as JM-909 is still not solved.

Thanks again LG. We have used the audit policy page before, but we want to make our install & deployment as automated as possible. The more stuff we can configure in wildfire.xml, the less a system administrator somewhere down the line has to manually configure via the admin console. Ideally we’'d eliminate all manual configuration.

Sounds like this might be more of a feature request though. Or it could actually be two separate issues - one Documentation issue to document the wildfire.xml file, and another issue to add audit policy configuration to wildfire.xml. Any developers care to comment on the validity of these potential issues?

Hi Jeff,

I did add a comment to JM-1010, maybe Gato or another developer can solve this issue by using a predefined or custom setup XML file.
