Should’'ve read the docs… Under the Asterisk plug-in it is mentioned…

“Asterisk-IM is easily deployed as a plugin for Jive Messenger and is fully supported in the Spark IM client.”

Heh. Hi ravindimantha,

So yes, Spark does support Asterisks IM, so you have the ability to make phone calls based on JID or just type in a number, as well as notifications of incoming calls, presence and time on phone.

I’'ve installed asterisk, jivemessenger and asterisk-im plugin.

Asterisk is functioning well. I’'ve tested with some softphones.

Jive is functioning too.

But doesn’‘t apear any menu item on Spark to make calls. In fact, no diference in spark appeared after i’'ve installed asterisk-im.

How do I enable asterisk-im integration in spark?

Patrick,

Spark should auto-detect on startup if asterisks is installed and you are configured to make calls. Is there no “Dial” option in the actions menu?

I have the same problem. Spark does not show the asterisk plugin i.e., no dial under “Actions”. Presence information works. I’'m turned on debugging and this is the error i get:

I logged into Mysql and as evident, userID does exist.
