in the last few weeks I was developing a simple to use but quite powerfull XMPP client for Android. It is called Jabbroid and you can find it on the Market or under http://jabbroid.akuz.de. It is not yet ready to replace your desktop client completely but it is already a nice client for your android powered phone. At the moment this version is ad supported, but a donate version without ads is in the pipeline. Probably is someone interested in this client since I don’t see any real alternative for android. This client is based on the asmack library by René Treffer.
