Yahoo Transport Ideas

I’‘m looking for a reliable and scalable Yahoo Messenger transport. The two options seem to be Noah’'s Java solution discussed here:

… and the aging, Yahoo Transport 2, located here:

My questions are:

  1. Are there any other solutions I’'m missing?

  2. Does anyone have any experience with these two transports? Any advice for me?

Thanks,

Christian

Christian,

A third option available is the yahoo transport provided under the xmpppy project on sourceforge - http://sourceforge.net/projects/xmpppy. As the name suggests, it’'s a python implementation.

I’‘ve tinkered with all three but haven’‘t done any scalability testing. The jcr/yahoo-transport-2 and xmpppy-yahoo setups seem to be a tad more stable than the yahoo gateway available on the forums. Hopefully there will continue to be contributions from the community to gateway’'s developed in java, but for now the python implementations seem to have the momentum.
