may anyone please point me to how to use yahoo messanger with Jive?

You can’‘t use yahoo messenger per se, but I’‘m (1 out of 2) working on a Yahoo! Gateway that will allow any Jabber client (in my case iChat) talk to yahoo’‘s im system. It’'s been slow going, but I hope to be complete in time for 2.2.0.
Yahoo Messenger could be used if a local proxy is used to route messages from Yahoo Messenger to Jive, but that’'s not on my drawing board.

Gato, et al, have been successful with the 2.2.0 Beta and the external component feature to succesfully get PyAIMt, PyICQt and PyMSNt to work with Jive. Since it’'s Python based, it requires that you know how to install Python on your platform.
Gato also said he was able to group conference with the transports.

I have PyAIM and PyMSN working well with JM… just be careful with twisted dependancies, PyMSN reqs PySSL but will not error with any useful info.

So now that 2.2 is out have you made any progress with the yahoo gateway?
Yes, in fact I have a beta that I will check in this evening. I’'ll coordinate with Matt and Gaston on a binary release.
