Admin console not opening after setup

Hi guys, i’m struggling to setup openfire on a debian 11.9 machine, I installed openjdk-11-jre
and tried to install openfire both from openfire_4.8.1_all.deb and .tar.gz, with the same result:
I can go throught the setup fine, at the last step it tells me to click on a button to log into the admin console (http://serverip:9090/login.jsp) that sends me to a err_connection_refused page.
I have no firewall setup, machine is plain debian 11.9 install with openjdk-11-jre and nothing else.
I must be missing something…
