MSN not sign-in after upgrade to 3.6.0 and 1.2.4c

Hello,

I upgrade my openfire from 3.5.2 to 3.6.0 and gateway-im from 1.2.3 to 1.2.4c.

The MSN doesn’t connect. AIM, ICQ, YAHOO and GTALK works fine but MSN no.

I got in error.log every time i try to connect:

2008.08.29 03:42:30 [org.jivesoftware.util.log.util.CommonsLogFactory$1.error(CommonsLogFactory.jav a:92)] error sending msg: UUX 10 42

Tks,

This should be posted in the gateway support forum.

All I can see happening there is that the socket is being closed because UUX can be sent. I might need the logs from before that occurred to get a feel for what’s going on. =)

So, I’m posting in gateway forum. Please, answer there!!! It’s not cross posting.

Hey I think I can actually move the thread. =) I’ll do that.

hehehe! Sorry, I already “did that”! Remove other post.

lol dooh

do you know where I found this logs or how can I enable debug in gateway-im?

There’s something in debug log. I enable it… Here is the error part(there’s lot of more things before this but none error).

Hi there!

Can you get sure that error in the log happens when you sign in ?

Because that error appears in my logs, but when i log out (so it’s not a big problem).

I am checking it, but just to be sure, can you check that the error corresponds with a failure in signing in ?

Thanks!!

I have the same issue after the upgrade.

I get the previously mentioned error on logout as well.

here is the message I get at login:

debug.log:

2008.08.29 08:39:55 MSN: Unknown error: net.sf.jml.exception.LoginException: Login Failed, error making ticket!
net.sf.jml.exception.LoginException: Login Failed, error making ticket!
at net.sf.jml.protocol.incoming.IncomingUSR$1.run(IncomingUSR.java:292)

I can provide more logs

yes, it happens when I login, so I can’t login actually.

What was the last version that worked for you? – would you mind sharing your entire debug log with me? (email it to me so you don’t have to show information you don’t want to to “everyone”)

I change my password in debug.log because I tried to register in MSN again. I sent to your email. I forgot to mention, the last version that worked was 1.2.3 with openfire 3.5.2.

Thanks,

Wagner Sartori Junior

Yes we are having the same problem and I need a fix ASAP since this is how we talk to our customer who uses MS communicator. My boss is not too happy as of now. This all started for us around noon today we were on openfire 3.5.2 then all of the sudden the gateway IM wasn’t working anymore so I thought well here is my chance to upgrade, I did and the gateways for AIM and Yahoo came back but not MSN when you do the connection test it goes through but nothing in spark.

you were on 3.5.2 with gateway-im 1.2.4c??? If so, it’s incompatible I think. I read in other threads. You’ll have to downgrade gateway-im to 1.2.3 again.

No we had 3.5.2 and gateway 1.2.3a it crapped out today and so I upgraded to 3.6.0a and 1.2.4c and every thing works but MSN

So, we have the same problem. Let’s wait for “the guys” try to solve this one. I already sent my debug.log to @Daniel Henninger. If you can, send yours too.

I also sent my debug log. Using pidgin in the meantime to connect to msn.

I also can’t use MSN anymore. I get the following Login error:

No protocol??? If I’m reading that right, it’s as if java doesn’t know what https is! These are very useful debug logs btw! Thank you. What OS is this? What version of java do you have installed?
