Restrict only new user registration from outside lan

Hi @all,

is it possible to restrict the registration of new users for example for a specific ip range, while already regsitered users are able to login from any ip address?

This is what I´m trying to do: inside the company´s LAN it should be possible to register as a new user without further interaction by an admin. users from outside the company´s lan (e.g. the internet) shall only be permitted loggin in if they already have a user account and forbidden to create a new user account.
