Spark look and feel refresh

I think this was done on purpose…
Maybe wait for wroot’s answer  :grinning:

I will merge these changes and test later in the evening. What i am seeing is that if i have a lot of tabs opened and some user that is not in focus sends a message, it is ok. It doesn’t steal the focus. But if i have a user that is offline, i have a tab opened with this user, then this user becomes online and sends the message. Then this tab switches to focus.

Almost  Still a blue thicker line on the left side

To keep this topic afloat and not to forget things, this is the list that i think we need before this refresh is considered done (of course, there can still be other things to polish, etc.):

Major:

  • A tab with offline contact takes over focus when this user sends a message after becoming online
  • First tab not showing (x) for unread messages

Minor:

  • Vcard popup not showing when contact window is maximized
  • When chat window is maximized emoticons selection window goes beyond taskbar
  • Make hint text in input fields on login screen translatable (LoginUIPanel.java)
  • Move search field to the top of contacts window (now at the bottom)

Trivial:

  • New emoticons (without white border)
  • Small glitch around looking glass icon in the search field
  • Add contact icon in Contacts menu should use the same icon as in chat window (just smaller)
  • Move Lookup profile setting in Contacts menu higher

Although most of this seems like we can live with it or fix it later (i really want to fix two first ones, but most users probably won’t run into this too often).

Btw, Amos, do you have Atlassian user? I can then add you to Spark project https://igniterealtime.atlassian.net and assign tickets resolved by you (like the one with first tab not showing unread count)

Latest build with fixed, translations, etc. https://bamboo.igniterealtime.org/browse/SPARK-NIGHTLY-1703/artifact/shared/Install4j-generated-media/

Now I see the number of messages for the first user, but there is no number in the list on the right

Yes i joined the site, assign to k33ptoo.

I think I know where the issue arises from, I thought the theme would fix it as described in their changelog, I’ll update it.

I couldn’t find you, so sent an invite to your email. Might need help from akrherz to add you. This cloud version of Jira is still confusing to me and i don’t have all the permissions like i used to in Server version.

I see two user’s called KeepToo, one with the same gmail address as your account on discourse, the other looks like a similar to your name gmail account. I elevated the one with the same gmail account.

Latest build. Nothing new to notice other than a bit smaller installer (removed JTattoo, Substance and LittleLuck from pom.xml) https://bamboo.igniterealtime.org/browse/SPARK-NIGHTLY-1711/artifact/shared/Install4j-generated-media/

I think this is fixed, @wroot can you check it too?

For me it still appears behind the taskbar. I think if this is possible, it should “sense” that taskbar is too close and move the window higher, so it never overlaps with the taskbar. But might be too complex to do that.

Strange, now it is hiding behind the taskbar.

I think it is necessary to raise the chat area higher and prohibit squeezing it below the given position.
